Prior to your first visit, we request that you fill our patient forms located HERE. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition.
If you are a chiropractic client, just like at any other doctor's office, a complete history and examination will be performed. From reflexes to ranges of motion as well as other standard neurologic, orthopedic, postural, and physical examinations will take place. The exam takes about an hour. Often, X-rays are taken and developed at the time of the exam, to better identify your issue.
For therapeutic massage clients, there is typically some brief discussion with the therapist regarding particulars about your condition.
For acupuncture, there are separate patient forms, located HERE: Initial exams include treatment and are typically 1.5-2 hours long.
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to to get a full evaluation of a patient. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.
Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment at the conclusion of the initial appointment. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies such as massage therapy. Other ancillary treatments may be recommended in-office, such as acupuncture or cupping therapy.
