Dr. David A. Berv
Dr. David A. Berv is a board certified chiropractic sports physician. He received a Bachelors Degree from Boston College in 1989, a doctorate of chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College (Portland, OR) in 1996 and a sports physician certification from Logan College of Chiropractic ( St. Louis, MO) in 1998.
Dr. Berv established Back In Action in March, 1998. His sports chiropractic expertise has led him to be the team chiropractor for many professional sports teams including the Richmond Kickers, Richbrau Cycling, Richmond Renegades, Richmond Rhythm, Richmond Ballet, VCU golf team, as well as working with scores of individual high level athletes.
Dr. Berv has a specialty degree as a diplomate in medical acupuncture (IAMA) and is qualified to practice acupuncture in Virginia. He maintains a fellowship in the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Click here for more information on Dr. Berv and acupuncture.

Dr. Kyle P. Moran
Dr. Kyle P. Moran is a board certified chiropractic physician. He has been with Back In Action since 2005. He received a bachelors of science degree in 2000 and his doctorate of Chiropractic in 2003, both from Logan College of Chiropractic. He also has an additional background in the chiropractic management of sports injuries.
Dr. Kyle Moran (below) has also been voted "Best Chiropractor" in Style Weekly's Best of Richmond and in Virginia Living magazine in recent years.
Dr. Moran is a multi-sport athlete and has extensive experience treating athletes and active individuals. He has treated many professional and high-level athletes in a myriad of sports. He has developed a reputation in the Richmond health care arena for working with sports injuries of all types, including the spine and extremities.
Dr. Thomas E. Sontag
Dr. Thomas E. Sontag is a board certified chiropractic physician. Dr. Sontag attained his Bachelors of Science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk,VA in 2004. He then earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2008 from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia where he was trained in a variety of techniques including the management of sports and orthopedic conditions of the spine and extremities. His clinical focus is both with athletes and active individuals - as well as a family practice. Prior to practicing in Richmond, Dr. Sontag built a successful practice in South Hill, VA. A long distance commute to be with his wife of present, brought him seeking to be in a practice closer to Richmond - and he found one at Back In Action.
